Guard Duty Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
Guard Duty does not collect, store or share your personal data.
What stays on your device
Your guards, schedules, streaks and history are stored only on your iPhone. Guard Duty has no user accounts and no server.
App blocking
Guard Duty uses Apple’s Screen Time technology (Family Controls). Apple’s design means Guard Duty never learns which apps you select or block — the selection is an opaque token that only iOS can read. Your screen-time information never leaves your device and is never visible to us.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Our payment partner RevenueCat processes your App Store receipt under an anonymous identifier to unlock Pro features; this is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details.
Crash reports
If Guard Duty crashes or hits an internal error, a report is sent to our error-reporting provider (Sentry) so we can fix it. A report contains the technical stack trace and your device model and OS version — no personal data, no account, and nothing about your guards or the apps they block. Reports cannot be tied to your identity.
Anonymous usage analytics
Guard Duty counts a small set of feature-usage events (for example “a guard was created” or “onboarding was completed”) under a random identifier, using PostHog. There is no account, no profile, and no content in these events — never your guard names, and never which apps you block (Apple’s design keeps those invisible to us in the first place). The random identifier cannot be tied to your identity.
